Golmaal 5 is Rohit Shetty’s most anticipated project, with fans eagerly awaiting the release date announcement. The first look of the film was teased on the filmmaker’s birthday and left fans excited. Recently, a lot of chatter has been doing the rounds about its release date. Reports claimed that Golmaal 5 would replace Ranger on the December release calendar, leading to a reported three-way box office clash with Prabhas’ Fauzi and Akshay Kumar’s untitled film directed by Anees Bazmee. Now, the makers have issued a statement clarifying that the reports are false and baseless.

In an official statement, a spokesperson for Rohit Shetty Picturez said: “We have come across speculation regarding the release date of our upcoming film, Golmaal 5. We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false and baseless.”
The statement further added, “Our entire team is currently focused on making an entertaining film for audiences, and we look forward to sharing official updates at the appropriate time. Any information regarding the film, including its release date, will be communicated only through our official announcements.”
The makers also urged media outlets to avoid publishing unverified information: “We request members of the media to refrain from publishing or circulating misleading information. We appreciate your continued support and cooperation.”

Earlier, reports were rife that Golmaal 5 is inspired by Do Aur Do Paanch. However, the makers reacted to the claims and clarified, “We categorically state that these reports are factually incorrect, misleading, and completely untrue. We strongly request all media houses, publications, portals, and digital platforms to refrain from publishing or circulating unverified information. Any news, update, or clarification pertaining to Rohit Shetty or Golmaal 5 must be verified with us or the official PR representatives prior to publication, or strict legal action will be taken.”

According to a report, Akshay Kumar is getting paid a jaw-dropping amount of Rs. 35–40 crore for his short shooting schedule. The film also stars Priyamani; however, she won’t be seen playing the love interest in the film. In May, actor Tusshar Kapoor wrapped up his shooting schedule.
