Don 3 row: Ammy Virk tells Excel Entertainment to take Rs 2-4 crores and move on

After taking the box office by storm with Dhurandhar: The Revenge earlier this year, Ranveer Singh has been making headlines over his dispute with the makers of Don 3. He allegedly exited Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3  abruptly, which angered the makers. According to reports, the actor was asked to pay Rs 45 crore by Excel Entertainment for walking out of the film just weeks before the shoot, leaving the industry divided. Now, Ranveer’s ’83 co-star Ammy Virk has broken his silence on the ongoing row.
Ammy Virk supports Ranveer Singh
Ammy has come out in support of Ranveer Singh, saying the makers of Don 3 ignored the actor when he had flops. During a conversation with Connect Cine, Ammy Virk expressed his support for Ranveer Singh, saying, “I feel, when he had a few flops, then you (Excel) could have started Don 3. Then they ignored him. Now that Dhurandhar is a hit, they are asking for their money back.”
The Punjabi actor further went on to say that Ranveer should not return the money. He added, “They can do whatever they want. Whatever they are owed of Rs 2-4 crore, take that and move on. Who is going to give Rs 45 crore?”
Ammy emphasises that Ranveer was not at fault in the matter and that those upset by the incident were free to seek legal action if they wished. Unfazed by the possibility, Ammy joked that such cases often drag on for years and rarely reach a meaningful conclusion.

The actor also recalled his conversation with Ranveer when the trailer of Dhurandhar was released. He said, “I congratulated him after Dhurandhar’s trailer came out. His daughter was born by then. He sent me a long message in English. He told me that I have invested everything in this film. I told him to wait and see and said that his daughter has brought him good luck and god was going to be kind. And that’s what happened. His daughter brought him such good luck.”
Ammy added that he had also spoken to Ranveer ahead of the release of Dhurandhar 2 as well. Recalling their conversation, he said that he jokingly credited Ranveer’s daughter for bringing good luck, stating that children come with their own fortune. According to Ammy, Dhurandhar went on to perform exceptionally well, and Ranveer was delighted with the outcome.
