Ahaan Panday rose to stardom from his debut film, Saiyaara, and has since then built a loyal fanbase, which eagerly awaits his upcoming projects. Recently, the actor opened up about his wish to collaborate with Aryan Khan. He emphasised that any future project should be rooted in a genuine connection rather than superficial reasons.
Ahaan Panday on working with Aryan Khan
During an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Ahaan was asked whether Aryan and he can be a striking director-actor duo. Ahaan replied to this saying, “Yeah, in the future, why not? Not for anything superficial, not because of Bads…(The Ba***ds of Bollywood) or Saiyaara, but because of a real bond.”
Further elaborating on their bond, Ahaan said, “When you grow up with someone, it’s different. There was a time when he’d land from Kent (Sevenoaks School) and before even meeting his parents, he’d come straight to my house. His parents would call me asking why he was like that. When you share that kind of history, there’s so much you understand about each other, so much to explore as performers. Working together wouldn’t feel like work. It’s something I’d genuinely look forward to.”
Ahaan Panday and Aryan Khan workfront
On the work front, Ahaan is currently working on an action-entertainer directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Next, he is set to reunite with his Saiyaara co-star Aneet Padda and Mohit Suri for his next film. The new project reunites the team behind the 2025 romantic drama and is expected to go on floors later this year. Backed by Yash Raj Films, the yet untitled film is slated for a theatrical release in 2027.
Mohit Suri, in a statement, said, “It’s always been love stories for me … overwhelming — when emotions are so unbound, self-consuming and become impossible to ignore. Love is supposed to be felt intensely, and that’s why I naturally gravitate towards this as a storyteller. The film explores this unabashedly… so coming back with the same team from Saiyaara feels incredibly special, maybe it was always written in the stars. Reuniting … coming back home .. but with a renewed creative hunger. This time I feel like a newcomer… excited, anxious about this story, and I hope my music will again touch people, like I have always strived for through my films.”
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan recently made his directorial debut with the Netflix series The Ba***ds of Bollywood. He served as the creator, writer, director, and showrunner on the series, which starred an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Mona Singh, and Sahher Bambba. It also included star cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Diljit Dosanjh. Aryan is yet to announce his next project.
