After Rajkummar Rao extended support to the ongoing CJP-led protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, a social media user questioned his participation in the Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai campaign song. Responding to the criticism, the actor claimed he was “pressurised” into being part of the video, with a screenshot of the exchange now going viral.

The screenshot, which has been widely shared across social media platforms, appears to show Rajkummar Rao responding to a comment questioning his participation in the Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai video. The user wrote, “I had huge respect for you, man… you lost it with one propaganda song!!! I never miss any of your movies, never thought you would sell off so easily, you were supposed to lead the new generation of artists… instead!!!”
In response, Rao wrote, “I can never sell my soul, brother. And one song does not define who I am, what I stand for, or what my ideologies in life are. You can never know the pressure. I stand with what is right and what keeps us united as human beings. As long as my conscience is clean and I work the hardest, nothing else matters. People who know me personally know who I am, and hopefully one day I’ll be able to earn back your respect. I wish you luck and happiness in life. God bless you.”

For those unversed, Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai is a T-Series release from 2025. The song celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and also featured actors including Vikrant Massey, Arshad Warsi, and Varun Dhawan.

Taking to his social media account, the actor stressed the importance of listening to young voices while maintaining peace. Calling for non-violence, Rajkummar wrote, “At the same time, peace must remain our greatest strength. Violence, from any side, only deepens wounds and takes us further away from meaningful solutions. This is a moment for dialogue and compassion.”
The Stree actor also urged students to express themselves responsibly while appealing to the authorities to respond with understanding.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in Netflix’s dark comedy Toaster, directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary. He will next be seen in Prahaar, prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam’s biopic. Apart from this, he also has Sourav Ganguly’s biopic Dada in his kitty.
