Actor Saif Ali Khan is set to reunite with producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for a new thriller under Excel Entertainment, 25 years after ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001). According to reports, the film is an “intense, edge-of-the-seat thriller” exploring themes of morality, ethics, and societal issues. We have learnt that the project is currently in the writing stage, with production expected to begin by the end of this year. A leading female actor is yet to be finalised.

Wrapping the cameo

Actor Hrithik Roshan has wrapped up filming a cameo in Rajinikanth’s upcoming action drama Jailer 2 after a two-day shoot in Chennai. mid-day had earlier reported that Hrithik would make a special appearance in the film (From King to Greek God, May 29). According to sources, director Nelson Dilipkumar has designed a “larger-than-life character” for the actor, featuring a “solid introductory sequence” and key scenes with Rajinikanth. “It’s a dynamic cameo, designed to receive claps and whistles from the audience,” a source said.
