Asha Bhsole`s grandson Chin2 Bhosle says she was to sing his tribute song

Over 10 days after the passing of Asha Bhosle, her grandson Chaitanya Bhosle — better known as Chin2 Bhosle — is still trying to process the loss. “We all thought she’d live with us till 100,” he said, within minutes of getting on a call with us.
Bhosle’s demise has left a void in the musician’s life, and he is attempting to fill it with the one language the legendary singer stood for — music. He has released a tribute video, titled Chalte Chalte, in her memory. “[Earlier] I had written a song called Chalte Chalte for her. It was about death and moving on. [The lines went] ‘Chalte chalte aage chalke, na mudke, ya rukke…’ When I played it to her, she broke down. It reminded her of my father [Hemant Bhosle], and my aunt Varsha. She said she couldn’t sing it as the song was too painful.”

After her passing, Chin2 decided that the song would become his tribute to her. He reflected, “I said no to the idea of doing a formal tribute because it felt too personal. Then I realised the tribute already existed. I put together a video of our moments together, and used the song that she loved but couldn’t sing. I could think of no better way of saying goodbye.”
For her fans, Bhosle has left behind a treasure trove of unforgettable songs and countless memories. Not just that, Chin2 revealed that there are a few unreleased songs too. “She had recorded a couple of songs with AR Rahman. She had even played me a few of them. I don’t know how they will be released, but they will come out.”
Chin2 Bhosle revealed that even in her final days, Asha Bhosle remained exactly who she always was — spirited and in love with life. “She had snuck out of the house with her driver and help to watch a Marathi play. The next day, she acted out scenes from the play for us,” he recalled.
