Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor's alleged 'leaked' scene from the film sparks debate

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 has been one of the most-awaited films of the year. The makers have kept details of the project under wraps, which has led to curiosity among fans. Earlier, the makers unveiled a teaser of the film introducing Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. As the buzz around the upcoming trailer of the film continues to grow, a clip allegedly showing Ranbir Kapoor in a scene from the film’s trailer has now been circulating online. 
Ramayana scene leaked?
A clip has been going viral on social media, with many claiming it to be that of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram from the trailer. Several users on X have shared that the allegedly leaked video is from the trailer, which they claim was shown at the CinemaCon event. 
Sharing the 11-second-long clip, a user wrote, “Welcome to the Ramayana Trailer Month: JULY Trailer, Posters, Interviews Global Recognition for Indian Cinema and a leaked trailer snippet of the TRAILER from cinema con” (sic)

Many reacted to the video claiming that it was a fake video. “FAKE!!! PLS DELETE” Another fan commented, “R u really a (clown face emoji) you really think if this had been true it would still be here?”
Meanwhile, many others pointed out that it was an AI-generated clip. A user wrote, “It is fake, AI made. Stop spreading fake news please”, while another said, “Ai he bhai thik se dekh”
Some users even suggested that it was a manipulated clip from a TV serial. A user commented, “Bhai fake videos mat daalo ye ek serial ka h jise AI se manipulate karke banaya gya h”, as another said, “This is a serial called siya ke ram.”

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Ramayana also stars Yash (Raavan), Sai Pallavi (Sita), Sunny Deol (Hanuman), Ravie Dubey (Laxman), Lara Dutta (Kaikeyi), Arun Govil (Dasharatha), Indira Krishnan (Kausalya), Kajal Aggarwal (Mandodari), and Rakul Preet Singh (Shurpanakha).
Ramayana is set to be released in two parts. Part 1 is scheduled to hit the big screens on Diwali this year, while Part 2 will release on Diwali 2027. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is reportedly made on a huge budget of Rs. 4,000 crore.
The Rama teaser released in April this year gave a first glimpse of Ranbir. Sharing the promo, producer Namit Malhotra wrote on Instagram, “Rama is the greatest of all time because he lived a life where the choices he made were always in the benefit of the greater good, duty over desire, and sacrifice over self. His legacy continues to enhance and empower humanity over time and bring the belief in the goodness of the human spirit to resolve all conflict and bring peace to the world (sic).”
