Fashion came into Gulshan Devaiah’s life way before acting did. The actor is a graduate of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), and that learning is coming in handy now. He has taken charge of styling himself for public appearances and events, instead of relying on large styling teams.
“For me, clothing has always been about individuality rather than chasing trends. I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of dressing to fit into a box. I know what I’m comfortable in, and how I want to express myself. Trends come and go, but personal style stays. I’m done trying to keep up with ever-changing fads,” said the actor.
In today’s Instagram era, actors often feel the pressure to deliver attention-grabbing red carpet looks. But Devaiah has no interest in that game. “I understand that today a lot of fashion is designed for photographs, for Instagram, for that one viral moment. But I’m not dressing for the algorithm,” he stated.
